"Berties" are to continue their sponsorship of the club for season 2011/2012. Youghal RFC and The Dempsey Family look forward to another season of working together for the good of the town and the surrounding areas.

Youghal defeated Newport 29-15 with tries from Alan Frahill-O’Connor, Jonathon Ormond, Scott O’Sullivan and Colm Mulcahy. Aaron Daly kicked three conversions and a penalty. Philip O’Brien and Tom Morris replied with tries for Newport and Shane Ryan added a conversion and penalty. Some of the rugby in this game was spectacular to say the least and would have received banner headlines if the Munster team had produced it.
This coming Saturday, the First XV have an away fixture against Castleisland in a mid-table clash. The Second XV also travel on Sunday to take on Shandon in the George O'Connell Cup and will hope to find some form after a heavy defeat at home to Kinsale, 13 V 58.
The Women's XV had a very good 44 V 0 win at home to Dungarvan
